2. Handling A Grievance

Employee grievances can be wide-ranging and vary from general dissatisfaction with wages and conditions of employment. This course will consider how grievances are challenged and dealt with.

  • General rules of any grievance procedure
  • Steps to ensure the effectiveness of grievance procedures
  • The general structure of a grievance procedure
  • Grievance procedure and documentation for managers and employees
  • Resolution of disputes relating to unfair labour practices

 

3. Conflict Resolution

This course will consider how to deal with conflict situation within the workplace, including the development of a conflict resolution strategy and ways in which to prevent conflict.

  • Monitor and diagnose actual and potential conflict situations
  • Identify and clarify areas of conflict
  • Understand the nature and dynamics of conflict
  • Convert negative conflict to a constructive and creative force
  • Develop a conflict resolution strategy
